Design, construction and commissioning of mobile high-temperature plants in ISO container format. Enables metallurgical processes and refractory work at decentralised locations — independently of stationary infrastructure.

Mobile & modular high-temperature plants
Conventional industrial furnaces are tied to a single location. Strategic resilience, however, requires the ability to take metallurgical processes to where they are needed — to decentralised production sites, field repair points or secure fallback locations.
SBS Refractory Service develops containerised furnace plants that make heat treatment, melting processes and refractory work possible outside stationary factory halls. Every module can be moved by lorry, rail or ship and is ready for operation within a few hours.
Our experience in industrial furnace construction and refractory lining forms the basis for robust, transportable systems. The modules are designed to work reliably even under demanding ambient conditions.
Proven methods and specialised equipment for optimal results.
Fully equipped industrial furnace in ISO container format. Integrated control system, power supply and flue gas treatment. Movable by low-loader and ready for operation within 24 hours.
Prefabricated refractory segments for the field repair of damaged furnace linings. Plug-in connections and pre-assembled anchors reduce installation time to a minimum.
Transportable systems for stress-relief annealing, preheating and post-weld heat treatment of large components. Programmable temperature curves with seamless documentation.
Compact induction melting plant for field repair and small-batch production of metallic components. Capacities from 50 to 500 kg depending on module configuration.
Structured, transparent and on schedule — this is how we work.
Definition of the thermal processes, throughput volumes and operating conditions.
Analysis of the required processes (melting, heat treatment, preheating), ambient conditions and logistical constraints. Concept sketch with module layout.
Detailed design, procurement and construction of the container modules.
Structural calculation, refractory design, integration of the control and safety systems. Manufacture and pre-assembly in the works including a trial run.
Relocation of the modules to the site and mechanical installation.
Transport by low-loader or military logistics. Installation on a prepared area, alignment and connection of the modules. Connection of the media supply.
Function test of all systems, heat-up run and instruction of the operating personnel.
Calibration of the control system, documentation of the heat-up curve, instruction in operation, maintenance and fault clearance. Handover of the technical documentation.
Ongoing technical support and scheduled maintenance intervals.
Remote monitoring of the plant parameters, spare parts logistics, scheduled inspection of the refractory lining. Optional standby service.
Proper separation, recovery and disposal of all resulting materials.
Lightweight insulating boards with low thermal conductivity. They reduce energy consumption and the external temperatures of the container modules.
Self-flowing or vibration-compacted refractory castables. They allow complex geometries without joints — ideal for mobile systems exposed to vibration.
Factory-produced segments with integrated anchors and plug-in connections. Replacement in a few hours without special tools.
Heat-resistant austenitic steel for continuous operation up to 1,150 °C. Weldable, corrosion-resistant and able to withstand transport loads.
Typical situations in which Mobile & modular high-temperature plants is used.
Decentralised production of strategically important metal components
Field repair of damaged components without return transport
Setting up temporary production capacity at fallback locations
Resilient supply chains through distributed production infrastructure
Heat treatment of large components directly at the assembly site
