Melting chamber in Austria overhauled with targeted measures
A customer in Austria commissioned SBS Refractory Service with the overhaul of a melting chamber on an aluminium furnace. The side walls showed local damage and the floor had lost level through continuous operation. To maintain production capability, a prompt and coordinated repair was required.

The overhaul was carried out in coordinated steps. First, the damaged areas of the side walls were repaired in a targeted manner. The partial repair allowed us to restore the structure and stability of the chamber efficiently, without completely replacing the walls.
The floor of the melting chamber was brought back to the required level using a precise pour-on process. This method ensures even heat distribution and protects the brick lining against further erosion.
Once all measures were complete, the plant could be returned to service quickly and reliably. The customer confirmed the high quality of the work and the professional cooperation.
