The furnace is not always the problem – often it is the hood.

Furnace hoods and lids are among the most heavily loaded components on an industrial furnace: radiant heat from the melt, thermal shock every time they are opened, mechanical loads with every crane lift. The lining there often gives up sooner than in the rest of the furnace. On this aluminium melting furnace the hood lining was worn – yet the steel structure itself was intact.
Assessing which zones actually need renewing and which are still sound
Overhead anchoring – it carries the entire lining against gravity
Reliably identifying cracks and voids before demolition begins
Dry-out and heat-up as a precondition for the warranty
Survey: cracks, voids and anchoring inspected – steel structure confirmed as intact
Selective demolition of the damaged zones only – saving material, time and disposal costs
Complete renewal of the anchoring, as it carries the entire lining overhead
Controlled dry-out and heat-up as the basis of the warranty

Selective demolition – only the damaged zones are removed
